Why Do Bed Bugs Only Bite Me?

One of the first things you should know is that bed bugs do not select their hosts based on particular characteristics. They will feed on just about anyone. It is possible that bed bugs are only biting you because of where you sleep or are, but if this is the case, they will eventually spread to the rest of the household.

A bed bug’s bite does not cause any serious health problems, but the bite rash can be itchy and painful. In some cases, bedbugs may even itch so badly that they cause a skin infection. However, the bite rash is not contagious.

Having bed bugs in your home is a common problem for many households. The bites are small, red, itchy bumps that appear on your skin. Some people experience only one or a few bites from bed bugs while others experience none at all. There are several ways that these bugs can enter your home.

You can detect the presence of bed bugs by examining your bed. The feces and blood from bed bugs can be found on your mattress and sheets. Bed bugs usually hide in the mattress cords and electrical sockets. The bugs themselves are tiny, about the size of an apple seed. Baby bed bugs are almost as tiny as a pinhead. Their eggs and shells are pale yellow and the nymphs shed pale yellow skins when they grow.
