Can Silverfish Breathe Underwater?

When they molt, they will eat their body coverings. Usually, these insects only moult when they are young. It is not always clear why. However, most scientists believe that the moulting process is used to facilitate the growth of new individuals.

Although they do not sting, they can cause serious damage to belongings. Their feces can leave nasty stains on surfaces.

Silverfish can live for several months without feeding. If their numbers are too high, they can start attacking other people, animals or monsters. So, it is important to keep a watchful eye for the signs of an infestation.
