How Long Do House Flies Live in a House?
House flies are a common sight in a house. They are a type of fly that evolved during the Cenozoic Era in the Middle East. They have since spread all over the world and are the most common type of fly found in houses. House flies can live anywhere from a few days to a few months.
A typical fruit fly life cycle includes four stages. The larval stage lasts for a few hours or days until it develops into a pupa. During this stage, the fly will become larger and change color. The pupae will then seek a dark, quiet place to develop its wings and legs. It will then eventually reach adulthood and begin to reproduce. In general, this process takes between two to six days.
Fly lifespan depends on several factors. The most common flies include fruit flies, house flies, and drain flies. Each species has a different lifespan and prefers different environments. The females lay eggs in decaying matter or soil, and the larvae feed until they pupate. After about two days, the flies are ready to mate.
The common housefly has a short lifespan, but it is an exceptionally prolific breeder. Female house flies lay up to 75-120 eggs each time. In a single year, the female will lay five or six batches of eggs.
