How Do Flies Get Created?

However, modern science has discovered that flies are a pair that evolves from one stage to the next. A female house fly lays up to 150 eggs, each about the size of a pea. This larva then develops into an adult.
The life cycle of a fruit fly can last about a week. These insects live in warm places and can enter your home through cracks or pre-laid eggs in the fruit you purchase at the grocery store. When you purchase fruit, make sure to keep it dry and clean. Otherwise, fruit flies will start hatching and multiply.
Fruit flies are especially attracted to ripe fruit. These bugs will breed in kitchen drains, trash bins, and windows, and they also breed in dirty, decaying materials. Fruit flies can also enter your home through crevices or window screens. Once inside, they lay their eggs on the flesh of very ripe fruit, where they will multiply and become a full-blown infestation.
Fruit flies have incredibly fast life cycles. It takes just eight days for the female fruit fly to develop from egg to adult. This means that you can have an entire swarm from a single overripe tomato. Adult fruit flies can lay as many as 500 eggs within a month. They don’t need fruit to reproduce, but they do need a place to lay their eggs. They will also breed in the slime layer that forms inside slow-draining plumbing.
