Can Bed Bugs Have Stripes?

Several factors can affect the color of bed bugs. In some cases, bedbugs may have different shades of brown, black, or white. However, these bugs don’t actually have stripes. Rather, they have black areas inside their abdomen and creases along their back. The stripes on bedbugs aren’t usually noticeable.

If you suspect your bed may be infested with these bugs, you should check the inside of your mattress. Then, you can check your personal belongings for the presence of these bugs. Another sign of bedbug infestation is the presence of blood stains. This is often the result of the insects biting someone. If the infestation is widespread, you might also notice a musty or moldy odor. You can also check the seams of your mattress for rusty specks and rusty stains. If you find a lot of bugs, you can also find excrement or shed skins.

Bedbugs are nocturnal creatures. They feed during the day, but they are also active at night. Even if you keep the light on during the day, this won’t keep the bugs from feeding. If you’ve caught bedbugs, they can live for several weeks without eating.
