Can You Use Wasp Spray on Ants?

Using wasp spray to get rid of ants is not a good idea. The spray will not kill ants on the spot. Using a wasp spray should only be used after locating the nest. Wasps and hornets will need to return to their nest for food before the spray can kill them.

Wasp spray should be used at least twenty feet away from the nest. It should be used in the early morning hours. Wear long pants and long sleeves when using the spray. Wearing protective clothing is especially important if you have low water pressure.

Wasp spray can be effective against ants, but it can be dangerous if you touch it. Soapy water is an effective natural wasp killer. You can make a soapy water solution by heating water until it suds. Add dishwashing liquid to it. This allows the water to enter the wasps’ breathing tubes, drowning them.

You can also use peppermint oil as a repellent. Peppermint oil can be mixed with water in a spray bottle. You should also reapply the solution once a week.

If you want to make a better wasp repellent, use full lemon extract. You can also use lemon extract as a pesticide. You can mix a few tablespoons with water to make a spray. Make sure you don’t get the essential oils in your eyes or on your skin.

Wasp spray can also kill other dangerous insects, such as killer bees, hornets and mosquitoes. Most sprays have a reach of up to twenty feet.
