Spiders aren’t likely to enter your home through a drain, so you’re unlikely to see them there. However, they are commonly found in bathrooms, where there is often a good supply of water and an overflow pipe.
They can also be found in showers and tubs. Despite their reputation as nuisances, most spiders are not venomous, and most of them are harmless.
You can keep spiders away by putting a clear glass in the bath to trap them. They aren’t going to want to get their greasy little paws in the water, so a glass will provide them with texture and give them something to hang onto.
In addition to placing a clear glass in your tub, you can also put a towel in there. That will give them something to hang on to, as well as a soft surface to climb on.

While you’re at it, try adding a little peppermint oil to the water. It’s a pleasant scent that will help freshen up your bathroom.
Another way to stop spiders from making your bathtub their new home is to install a rubber plug over the drain. This will prevent them from crawling into the drain when you’re not looking.
