Can Silverfish Jump Or Fly?

Although they cannot fly, silverfish do jump. When they’re jumping, they are using their abdomens to help them. But they don’t do so very fast. Instead, they can jump two feet vertically.

Silverfish are commonly mistaken for centipedes, but they are actually different. Centipedes have legs that are longer than those of silverfish. In addition, the latter has antennas at each end of its body.
