How to Use a Borax Substitute to Kill Ants

Whether you are trying to get rid of an ant infestation in your backyard or inside your home, there are plenty of ways to kill them. One of the best ways is to use sugar and borax. This is a quick and easy way to get rid of ants.

First, you’ll need to mix some Borax and sugar together. These two ingredients are great for killing ants, and will also work as a natural ant repellent. But you must be careful when mixing them. You don’t want to use too much borax, or you won’t be able to kill them.

You’ll need to mix a quarter cup of borax with one-quarter cup of sugar. This will create a paste-like substance that you can apply to your yard. It’s best to mix the two together in a small container. This container can be a glass bottle, a paper plate, or a cotton ball.

Once you’ve mixed the ingredients, you’ll need to wait about 48 hours for the borax to work. Then, you’ll need to place the bait in areas where you see ants, or where you think they’re coming from.

Borax is also toxic to your pets, so keep them out of the area. You’ll also want to store the ant killer away from children.

A borax substitute can be made with baking soda. This is a safer option than borax, but it will still kill ants.

You can also use food-grade diatomaceous earth. This is the same stuff used in cosmetics, but it’s a lot safer for pets.
