A Bug’s Life – Do Ants Give Food to Grasshoppers?
WouterGrasshoppers and ants do not share a symbiotic relationship. The grasshoppers do not have an obligation to give food to the ants. However, ants are predators, and if an ant is hurt, the grasshoppers can attack.
The ants are very strong. In fact, they are more powerful than some insects. However, they do not have a legal or moral obligation to give food to the grasshoppers. The grasshoppers do not have an interest in eating the ants, so they will not kill the ants.
In A Bug’s Life, ants and grasshoppers have their own problems. The grasshoppers are herbivores and they eat leaves, seeds, and flowers. During the winter, the grasshoppers become cold and hungry. The ants are working class. They carry grain to the nest. But they have more than enough to feed the whole nest.
The ants are predators, and they do not have a legal or moral duty to give food to the grasshoppers. Instead, the ants save the grain for the winter. The grasshoppers do not need to be fed because they can survive off of the food they find. They eat dead insects, animal dung, and plant material.
Grasshoppers and ants are different families. They have their own survival problems, and they cannot help each other. However, they do have a mutual interest.
Grasshoppers are afraid of spiders. They also fear other insects. So, if they are attacked, they often become prey to ants. And when an ant is injured, it can attack the grasshopper.
