The queen wasp will lay only as many eggs as the cells in her nest. These cells are made of hexagonal shape. The nest cells will be able to hold up to two hundred and fifty eggs. If the queen dies, it destroys the future of the colony.
Wasps also hibernate in wood, old logs, debris, and even in homes. They also have the option of building nests in basements, ceilings, and even on walls.
