2022 Gallagher Premiership Rugby
Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you’ll be aware that the 2022 Gallagher Premiership Rugby season is fast approaching. Teams from the Premiership and RFU Championship are set to fight for the title in the upcoming campaign. The season will be backed by a full slate of live games on television. The Premiership is set to have thirteen teams in the competition and the winners will be crowned as champions. BT Sport will have the rights to broadcast 69 games in the UK.
The Premiership Rugby season is scheduled to begin in August 2022 and run until July 2023. During that time, there will be three matches on each weekend. The matches will be shown on BT Sport, and the results will be posted on ITV, BT Sport 2HD, and BT Sport 3. The matches will start at 4pm. The highlights of each game will be shown on ITV, BT Sport 2HD, BT Sport 1HD, and BT Sport 3.
The opening round of the 2022 Gallagher Premiership Rugby will be a derby between Leicester Tigers and Newcastle Falcons. The Tigers are coming off a big win against the Falcons in Round 2 and are looking to go for another win. They will be joined by Jack van Poortvliet, who will play his 50th game for the Tigers.
Bath Rugby will also be looking for a win against Wasps. Bath have been struggling in the Gallagher Premiership Rugby competition, having lost five of their six matches. Bristol Bears are also in action and will be looking to build on their big win against Wasps last weekend. Bristol are currently in second place in the table, but need a win to guarantee their place in the play-offs.
