A more traditional termite control technique is using a liquid pesticide. This can be a granular product or one that is injected into concrete. The liquid provides a long-lasting chemical barrier.
You can also use a bait station. Essentially, this is a structure made from pieces of wood or cardboard that attracts foraging termites. The slow-acting toxin in the bait station interrupts the growth of termites.
You can also use boric acid, a chemical that is naturally occurring. Boric acid is often sold in powder form. It is an effective pesticide for destroying termites that have cellulose in their bodies.
Alternatively, you can use a natural substance called diatomaceous earth. This is a naturally-occurring rock that can be spread on infested areas. It can be used outdoors or indoors.
