How Do Spiders Or Skeletons Give More XP?
There are two major ways that animals provide XP. One is through breeding. The other is through damage. For example, a spider or skeleton that is hit by an arrow will make a loud noise. This noise will cause the spider to move closer.
Spiders are large, agile mobs. They are capable of seeing through walls, climbing, and jumping. Their skin is brownish-gray.
These creatures are usually considered hostile, but this is not always the case. Spiders can be neutral. When they are killed by the player, they drop a spider eye, which can be used to make potions and brewing equipment.
A common neutral mob is the ordinary brown spider. It has a 33% chance to drop a spider eye when the player kills it.
Another common neutral mob is the cave spider. These monsters spawn in abandoned mineshafts. On normal difficulty, the venom of the cave spider inflicts Poison 1 for seven seconds.
Cave spiders have a smaller size and lower attack power than normal spiders. However, they can climb walls unhampered by poison.
In addition, the venom of the cave spider also inflicts Poison 1. If the player is attacked by a spider while it is venoming, it will not become hostile.
Upon death, spiders will drop a Spider Eye, a string, and a small amount of experience. They spawn in two sizes, a large version and a smaller one.
While most spiders can be easily spotted, it is recommended that you keep a safe distance. You can use a bow or iron sword to kill them.
