Do Spiders Give You More XP Than Zombies?

Spiders are arachnid-like creatures. They spawn in dungeons and can be found anywhere on the Overworld. As spiders are able to climb walls, they are excellent targets for a quick kill.

While the spider is not the most intelligent of all creatures, it does boast the impressive ability to ambush a player in a dark place. The trick to winning the battle is to keep your distance. This is not always easy.

In general, spiders are fairly weak, so it’s a good idea to wear armor. Their impressive ability to see through walls also makes them useful. However, they don’t have the same level of intelligent AI as skeletons.

You may be surprised to learn that spiders are not the only thing that can climb a wall. Cave spiders are arachnids that spawn in abandoned mineshafts. They are poisonous to players, but also have the opportunity to drop XP and items.

To the uninitiated, a spider can be a nuisance. It’s common for these creatures to roam the nighttime Overworld, and they can even wreck your builds. When they spawn, they can cover a few blocks in a bound, so you might want to be on the lookout.

Spiders can be hunted with a sword or a bow. Using a diamond armour is a good way to deal with them. A well-timed hit will interrupt a spider’s jumping, and a block will keep it at bay.

Unlike skeletons, spiders cannot attack you while you sleep. So if you’re looking to increase your XP, don’t snooze.
