How Flies Lay Eggs

Fly eggs are gray in color and approximately four to 7.5 millimeters long. The maggots that hatch from the eggs look like tiny pale white worms. After hatching from the eggs, the larvae are ready to begin feeding. They may take up to 24 hours to reach maturity, but some may take longer.
