Why is Cockroach Disgusting?
The cockroach is considered to be one of the most disgusting pests. Not only do they spend their time in disgusting places, they also spread diseases and multiply quickly. Because of this, it’s difficult to get rid of them entirely. However, there are ways to eliminate them from your home.
Cockroaches are small, spiny creatures with shiny bodies. They typically hide in dark spaces, such as air vents. Their slim bodies make it easier for them to squeeze through tiny gaps and cracks. They are especially disgusting in wintertime, when they are more active and tend to live through the night.
Cockroaches have a hydraulic exoskeleton and an open circulatory system. They have to exert force to straighten their legs. As a result, weaker cockroaches will fall over more often than stronger ones. While cockroaches can be disgusting, they actually help balance the ecosystem. Without them, there would be a drastic disruption in the natural world.
Cockroaches can also carry dangerous bacteria. Their fecal matter carries Salmonella, which is a very dangerous bacteria to humans. Their bodies are also contaminated by E. coli, which can cause a variety of illnesses.
