How to Vacuum a Cockroach
Getting rid of a cockroach is not an easy task. It requires a lot of knowledge and preparation. Cockroaches are small, adaptable insects with six long legs, two pairs of wings and two antennae. While there are around thirty species of cockroaches, only a few are considered pests. They are known allergen sources and can trigger asthma in people.
When vacuuming, be sure to use a bag or canister that is designed to kill bugs. Cockroaches are extremely resilient and are capable of surviving in unsanitary conditions. Even after being vacuumed, they can reproduce and lay eggs. The egg-laying stage can last several days, even a week.
Cockroaches dislike loud noises. They cannot hear, but they are very sensitive to the vibration of sound. This vibration affects the whole body of a cockroach. If you’ve ever seen a cockroach running away from loud noises, you know that they were disturbed by the noise. It’s very difficult to vacuum a cockroach unless you know what you’re doing.
You can also use a vacuum with a filtration canister and filtered bags. This will help kill the critter faster. Make sure you use the correct attachment to your vacuum.
