Can Apple Cider Vinegar Kill Ants?

Using vinegar to kill ants is a good way to get rid of them, but not without risking your health. Some people claim that vinegar can kill ants, but it doesn’t actually work that way.

Vinegar is a common household ingredient, and it’s often used as a cleaning product. Interestingly, it’s also been known to be an effective ant repellent. It’s an acidic liquid that contains acetic acid, a substance that ants find repulsive.

However, vinegar isn’t the only home remedy for ants. There are a number of other methods that can be used, including caulking and spraying.

A spray bottle filled with water and vinegar can be sprayed on ant trails, and will disorient ants, killing them off. You can also spray a vinegar solution around your house, such as on your window sills and baseboards.

A mixture of water and vinegar can also be sprayed on ant mound exits. This will kill ants and starve them to death.

A squirt of dishwashing detergent is another great way to kill ants. However, it may be a little messy. You can also spray cotton balls with tea tree oil, which is a natural ant repellent.

Another effective home remedy for ants is to use a mixture of lemon juice and water. This works in the same way as vinegar, but the smell isn’t as bad. You can even squeeze lemon juice into cracks, as well.

You can also try using cayenne pepper. This spice can be sprinkled around the baseboards and on the backs of your countertops.
