Will Bleach Kill Wasps?

During the spring season, wasp colonies start to form new colonies. If you have noticed that you are getting a lot of wasps in your yard, you may want to consider using a wasp control spray. These sprays can kill wasps by causing their muscles to seize. You can buy insecticide sprays at your local home improvement store.

If you don’t have a spray bottle, you can also kill wasps by spraying them with ordinary hair spray. The spray suffocates the insects by sealing their breathing orifices. It is effective on insects, but may be hazardous to your pets.

Another method is to use a wasp trap. You can create a trap by combining sugar water with water. These traps are effective on ground nests. You should wear protective clothing when spraying them.

You can also use a mixture of bleach and water to kill wasps. The bleach should be diluted so that it doesn’t harm your lawn or plants. You will need to keep the spray distance to a minimum to avoid swarming.

However, you should wait at least a few days before you attempt to spray the nest. The wasps are likely to become irritated and leave the nest. If you are not able to keep the nest from re-forming, you may have to hire an exterminator.

If you are a bit hesitant about using insecticide sprays, you can also use wasp repellents. These are natural products that are made from household items.
