The first signs of anaphylaxis are hives or swelling of the face, lips, and tongue. Other symptoms include difficulty breathing and diarrhoea. If your symptoms continue to worsen, you should seek medical attention. If you have a history of stinging insect allergies, you should also avoid interacting with wasps and other stinging insects.
Another symptom of anaphylaxis is nausea. Wasp venom is toxic to the kidneys, and excess tissue debris can clog them. This can lead to kidney failure. If you experience these symptoms, call 911 immediately.
If you’ve been stung by hives or swelling, you may have an allergy to wasp venom. This condition is caused by a protein found in the venom. This protein acts as an enzyme, dissolving cement that holds body cells together. Normally, the body removes the debris through the kidneys. If too much tissue debris clogs the kidneys, a patient’s kidneys may fail.
The main reason you are stung by a wasp is because it is trying to defend its nest. If you’re surrounded by a wasp nest, you should not try to evict it.
You should keep calm and avoid waving your arms. If you do, the wasp may think you’re trying to arm it.
