How to Keep Wasps Away
Having wasps around the home can be an annoyance. Thankfully, there are a few ways you can keep them away.
The first thing you can do is to make sure you don’t have any gaps around your home. Wasps often use these gaps to build their nests.
The next thing you can do is to make sure you clean your bins on a regular basis. If you have food inside, make sure you take it out before the wasps get a hold of it. You can also use peppermint oil to help discourage wasps from coming into your home. You can place the oil in holes and gaps in your yard and garden.
Having a hummingbird feeder in your yard can also attract wasps. You should remove the feeders and replace them with flowers that do not attract wasps. Flowers will also provide nectar for hummingbirds.
Wasps are not as aggressive as bees, but they can still sting people. They also use pheromones to communicate with other wasps. If you have a nest in your home, you will need to remove it.
The best time to destroy a wasp nest is early in the season. Otherwise, it will be easy for them to come back. You should also check on your spray every day to see if it’s working.
Wasps are very active during the day, so be sure to keep them calm. You don’t want to disturb them, but you also don’t want to attract them with loud noises or screaming.
