Exeter Chiefs V Wasps on BT Sport
BT Sport will be televising the upcoming Premiership Rugby fixtures, including the game between Exeter Chiefs and Wasps. Both sides are in the hunt for the final play-off spot, with the two teams separated by two points.
The Chiefs have already secured the top spot in the Gallagher Premiership, but they will need to beat Wasps on Sunday to retain their home advantage in the play-offs. Wasps have lost two of their last three matches in the Premiership, and the Chiefs are looking to secure three wins in a row.
The two sides haven’t met in the Premiership for six years, since Wasps won 26-19 in April of 2015, but they do have a good balance of power. Wasps’ last victory away from home was a 27-17 win at Bath in Round 7 of the Premiership last season.
The Tigers beat five-time winners Saracens to win the league last season, but they are coming off victories, and the two sides have selected a strong team for the derby. The hosts have lost just one of their last five matches at Coventry Building Society Arena, and they have won their last two Premiership matches there.
Exeter Chiefs are the only team in the Premiership who have not lost three straight matches since September 2020. They have only lost to Leicester in Round One.
The other teams in the Premiership are Bath, Sale, and Worcester Warriors, who are all in the hunt for the last European Challenge Cup spot. Bristol will play their last game of the season on Sunday, and the Bears will be looking to follow up last weekend’s win at Wasps with another strong performance.
