Why Do Ants and Termites Live Together?

The scouts and workers are the ants that search for food. They lay down pheromones to inspire ants to take a trail to the food source.

Termites have a thick hard outer shell. They have straight antennae and a clear narrowing of the abdomen. They have four wings of equal length. They are dark in color and have a short back and front wing.

The winged ants are very similar to the flying termites, but they have different bodies. The front wing is shorter than the back wing, and the hind wing is shorter than the front fore wing.
