When they enter a home, they seek out a source of food. They will lay down a scent trail for other workers. The queen will also produce special chemicals.

Termites are extremely fast at rebuilding their nests. When a nest is destroyed, the ants are attracted to it. They will then target the termites and bring the insecticide back to the colony.

It’s best to avoid contact with termites. If you have a termite infestation, hire a professional to treat it. They can identify the species of termite, and recommend the most effective methods. They can also advise you on how to protect your home.

Some effective termite control products include liquid pesticide, baiting systems, and permethrin dust. Each type of product has a different way of killing termites.

Termites are attracted to cellulose in wood. The d-limonene compound in orange oil is effective at killing termites. Apply the oil to the inside of your walls, then continue applying it for a few days. Wear gloves when applying the pesticide.
