What Termites Ants Eat

Termites are more rectangular in shape with a thicker waist. They have wings that are longer than their bodies. Their antennae are straight. They are usually transparent or white.

While ants have three round segments that are distinguishable, termites have four wings that are equal in size. They also have a 90-degree bend in the antennae.

Termites are more prone to damage than ants. They can make huge mounds that can reach up to 42 feet. They have a preference for wood, but not all types of wood are resistant to termites. They may also infest unfinished basements and houses on crawl spaces.

Termites can eat your home seven days a week. The moisture in your house provides an ideal environment for them to live. They can scout for food and then start to build tubes that connect the food source to their nest.
