Why Do House Spiders Bite?
House spiders are not bloodsuckers, but they do have venom that can cause mild to severe discomfort. These little creatures are known to bite humans, but most of them are harmless. In fact, the common house spider can even get through tree branches.
House spiders are nocturnal creatures. They like to hide in dark or isolated areas of your home. Their favorite locations are the basement, eaves, garages, and sheds. They’re also attracted to any food that’s left out. In addition, they often build webs in random places around your house.
There are hundreds of different types of spiders. They come in all shapes and sizes. Some are very dangerous. The black widow spider, for example, can be a deadly pest.
If you suspect that you have been bitten by a spider, you should get medical attention. You should contact a doctor immediately if you develop any of these symptoms: a high fever, chills, severe headache, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and/or loss of consciousness.
The black widow spider, as well as other venomous spiders, can bite. The symptoms of a bite are similar to those of a bee sting.
If you see a spider, be sure to get it out of your home. Many spiders can be trapped with a cup. A cup can be a very effective way to get rid of a spider, but it may not be able to save a true house spider.
It’s best to learn as much as you can about how to identify a spider and treat it. You should always be sure to clean any food crumbs from the floor, as these attract other insects.
