Another giant spider is the Brazilian Salmon Pink Birdeater. This is a predatory spider that lives in Brazil and Paraguay. It has a leg span of ten inches and can weigh up to five or six ounces. It primarily eats insects and arthropods.
A venomous spider called the Chaco Golden Knee Spider is also considered one of the largest spiders. It has a body span of 5.9 inches and can grow to six inches. This spider is mainly found in Paraguay, but it has been reported in other countries as well. It is a New World tarantula and it is considered to be the largest venomous spider in the world.
A wolf spider is another large spider. This type of spider is usually black. It has two larger eyes and is found in a silken retreat. It is also active and hunts for its prey day and night.
