What Can You Spray Spiders With to Kill Them?
There are many things you can spray spiders with to kill them. But not all of them are safe for your family. If you have children, pets, or are pregnant, you should choose a nontoxic solution.
If you are attempting to eliminate a serious infestation, you may want to consider using store-bought insecticides. These are pesticides that form a barrier against spiders and other pests. They should be applied according to the label instructions, though.
Another effective and nontoxic option for spiders is a mixture of vinegar and water. Spray the combination on doors, windows, and corners. You can reapply every few days, if needed.
A mix of essential oils can also be sprayed in areas where spiders are a problem. Be sure to wear protective clothing when applying the mixture. Essential oils can also be used to repel other insects.
Using a mixture of vinegar and dishwashing soap can also be effective. Combine 1 tablespoon of liquid soap with a quart of water in a spray bottle. Alternatively, combine one tablespoon of dish soap with a cup of water. Mix the ingredients until a paste forms. Apply the paste to the area that has spiders.
You can also use a spray made from garlic and water. During the first day, leave the mixture in the area. Then strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer. Spiders will not like the smell.
Cedarwood is another effective repellent. It is also available online. For an extra layer of protection, you can use screens for doors and vents. Make sure to inspect and maintain the screens annually.
