Spider Man – How Fast Can He Go?
Spider man can do amazing things, but how fast does he really go? While he has shown that he can run like a gazelle and spin webs faster than bullets, his speed is not a given. He has also shown his prowess when it comes to evading villains. This is why it is surprising to learn that he isn’t the fastest super-hero on the planet.
One thing is certain: Spiderman doesn’t have the best foot speed. While he can keep up with the likes of Deadpool and the Fantastic Four, he doesn’t have the power to run faster than a cheetah. And even a cheetah isn’t that fast.
The fastest way to go isn’t a sprint. It’s actually a swan dive. A Spiderman swan dive is when he leaps off of a tall building and lands on the ground. The total fall is 6.5 meters. This translates into a hefty 115 feet. That is a big jump from his normal walking speed.
A runner would do the swan dive and land on the ground, but he wouldn’t be as quick as Spiderman. For example, the fastest recorded speed for an Olympic runner is 27 mph. While this is more than twice the speed of Spiderman, it is still not as quick as the fastest spider.
Besides being the largest spider in the world, Spider-Man is also the longest. At 167 lbs, he isn’t light, but he has the muscle to match. He also has the ability to spin two webs at the same time. This is more than enough to catch an attacker in mid-action.
