How Good is Spider-Ham in Marvel Contest of Champions?
WouterSpider-Ham is the latest Marvel Contest of Champions character to join the game. He’ll be available to all players for free. However, he does have some downsides. He can be a bit annoying at times.
Luckily, Spider-Ham is a fun character to play, and has some solid mechanics. His special attack can confuse opponents, and his survivability is very high. His mechanics are also easy to use, so he’s great to learn.
Spider-Ham can place up to 25 Porker Poppers per fight. Each popper lasts 10 seconds, and deals 1584 damage. Each special attack triggered by a Porker Popper also deals additional damage.
Another benefit of Spider-Ham is his ability to build “Spider-Nonsense” which depends on the Power of his opponent. This allows him to reapply his Porker Poppers after each attack. As long as he has 6+ Nonsense charges, he can become unblockable.
Spider-Ham also has a good resource engine, and his toon counters are used as wild resources. He also has one signature attack.
If you’re looking for a fun, cartoony villain to add to your roster, Spider-Ham is a good choice. He’s a pig with spider-like abilities, and his comic book origins have been altered slightly. He’s even a parody of Batman.
In addition to his ability to place Porker Poppers on opponents, he also has the ability to remove a threat equal to a toon counter for free. This is very handy against Champions with powerful Basic Attacks, as well as ones who launch repeated Special Attacks in quick succession.
