There are thousands of different species of spiders in Australia, and they’re found throughout the country. Some of the more dangerous ones are funnel-web spiders and redbacks.
A venomous funnel-web spider, for instance, can cause serious bites. A person can develop a severe allergic reaction to the toxin if it gets into the bloodstream.
But spiders aren’t the only danger in Australia. There are also a variety of predatory mice that are invading the country. The mouse spiders have a similar venom to the hexatoxin.
Fortunately, most Australian spiders are harmless. But there are a few species that can cause a reaction if they get into your bloodstream. And while these aren’t deadly, they can still be a problem.
One of the most famous eight-legged creatures in the country is the funnel-web spider. The males are known to go out hunting for mates during the warmer months. They’re also likely to become more aggressive during the spring.
