Do Spiders Come in Pairs?
Spiders can get into your house in two ways. Firstly, they can hitchhike from outside or stow away in boxes and other items brought in from outside. Second, they can enter through gaps and cracks. If the door is not sealed properly, spiders can gain access to your home.
Generally, if a male and female house spider are seen, it is an indication that mating is taking place. The pair will be carrying egg sacs. These sacs are flask-shaped. They are often brown.
Female house spiders are not aggressive towards the male. Their abdomens are shaped like a sphere and have brown and light beige markings. Males may be found wandering around in your house looking for females to mate with.
When spiders enter your home, they often attach their egg sacs to furniture, building materials, or other objects. This ensures the eggs will be fertilized. After a week or so, the spiderlings will emerge.
Once the spiderlings are out of the egg-sac, they become self-sufficient. The mother carries them around for a few days until they are ready to leave her. In the meantime, she will continue to deposit eggs in the web.
Some spiders produce silk from the spinnerets on the tip of the abdomen. Some spiders also eschew webs in favor of active hunting.
Many arachnids are attracted to lights. Some spiders even dislike walnuts and conkers. Besides, you can always clean up your home to prevent spiders.
