Is it Bad to Let Flies Walk on You?
Flies aren’t necessarily bad, but you should avoid them if you want to stay healthy. Flies carry harmful bacteria and feces and can easily transmit these germs to you or your family. They can also cause stomach pain, fever, and diarrhea.
Flies are known to carry the harmful disease Shigella. This is a bacterial infection that can cause diarrhea and stomach pain. Flies are also known to carry other diseases. Most of these pathogens are found in animal and plant waste, so you should avoid them. However, if you can’t avoid them, you should wash yourself thoroughly and avoid eating anything that touched them.
While flies don’t bite humans, they have a sharp sense of smell. Their keen sense of smell enables them to detect potential food sources. People give off the smell of carbon dioxide and other chemicals, and flies are drawn to these. When they land, they will begin walking around.
Flies also love to eat food, so make sure you don’t leave food out for too long. Also, try to keep your garbage cans covered, and cover them with soil to keep the flies away. You can also try keeping your house clean by minimizing garbage and keeping a close eye on the window screens. Also, make sure that you wipe down any spills, crumbs, and animal waste.
Although flies may be annoying, they don’t harm you. Even Vice President Mike Pence swatted away flies during the vice presidential debate. They have to be getting something out of it, right?
