How to Do Flies to Increase Bench Press
The chest workout is incomplete without the fly, and bodybuilders typically use flyes as a finishing exercise at the end of their chest routine. By incorporating flyes into their routine, they can focus on lifting the most weight possible and remaining fresh for the bench press. If you want to increase your bench press, you can do the following exercises.
Cable incline fly – The cable incline fly is a variation of the traditional dumbbell incline fly. The main difference is that this variation puts constant tension on your muscles throughout the entire movement, rather than just at the top of the movement. The exercise follows the same cues as the regular incline fly, but the cable incline fly puts a greater amount of stress on the pecs.
Dumbbell flye – Dumbbell fly variations are a great way to increase symmetrical strength and muscle growth. Furthermore, they help open up your chest, which is difficult to achieve with heavy benching. They can also be an excellent way to add more muscle to the chest for a bigger bench press.
Fly – This exercise will help you build the chest while stimulating hypertrophy. However, flyes should never be performed at maximum weight and should be performed for two to three sets of eight to 12 reps. You should perform flyes in different ways every couple of weeks to achieve optimal results.
