Flea in Obi-Wan Kenobi
The character of Flea has been rumored to be in the new Obi-Wan Kenobi series, but there’s no official confirmation. Interestingly, Flea has only appeared in two episodes, Episode 1 and 2. Those who know the Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist well may recognize the character from the video for “Coruscant-ication.”
Flea is a member of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, but he has been involved in a variety of movies. His role in Obi-Wan Kenobi is intriguing, as it ties him to two of the main characters in the original Star Wars trilogy.
Flea was a punk-rocker before making his way into the film industry. His acting career included appearances in The Big Lebowski, Back to the Future, and Baby Driver. In Obi-Wan Kenobi, Flea plays the role of Vect Nokru, a bounty hunter hired by Reva (played by Moses Ingram). The role is typical villain-esque, but Flea fully commits to it.
In addition to his acting role in the Star Wars movies, Flea is also featured in the upcoming television show Obi-Wan Kenobi. It’s the first Star Wars spin-off series Flea has been a part of. The show is set 10 years after the events of Revenge of the Sith, and follows the legendary Jedi Master Obi-Wan’s most memorable defeat. His character, Obi-Wan, portrayed by Ewan McGregor, is the son of Anakin Skywalker, who went on to turn to the dark side and become the evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
Fans of the Star Wars movies will surely find a place for Flea in Obi-Wan Kenobi. Fans of the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ music may be inspired to check out the new series on Disney+.
