Can You See Fleas With Your Eyes?
If you can see the appearance of fleas with your eyes, you can see that they are tiny and fast-moving. Fleas are also able to jump very high, with one hop, it can cover 30cm! In fact, the flea can jump faster than a space rocket!
Fleas are brown, wingless insects with six legs. They have a flat head and an oval-shaped body, which help them jump. Fleas have stout legs and are able to jump up to 30cm. They are around 1.5 mm in length, but they can be as large as 4mm. The flea’s body is made up of three unequal segments.
Flea bites look like small red bumps. They are surrounded by red halos, and they usually appear on the legs and ankles. Fleas prefer warm, folded skin. Luckily, they are very easy to remove, but you’ll need to pay attention to your pet’s behavior to make sure your dog isn’t infested with fleas.
Fleas lay eggs. Flea eggs are oval-shaped and whitish in color. These eggs can be difficult to see, as they are nearly invisible. Flea eggs fall to the ground within one to twelve days. Once the eggs hatch, they will become flea larvae. The larvae are white and will look like small worms.
