How to Make Natural Cockroach Traps

If you have a lot of roaches and want to catch them without buying expensive traps, you can make your own cockroach trap using old empty pickle jars, juice jars or even a beer jar. These containers are ideal because they contain sugars and roaches are attracted to sweet stuff. Once they fall into the jar, they will be trapped in the sticky liquid. You can place the traps in areas where roaches frequently congregate.

Soda bottles can also be used to make cockroach traps. These traps are easy to make and are extremely effective. You can fill soda bottles with water or soap, and place them in the areas where roaches reside. After about an hour, the cockroaches will come into contact with the sticky substances and be trapped inside the bottle. This method is a natural and safe solution to the problem of cockroaches.

Boric acid is another effective natural cockroach trap that can be made at home. Boric acid is readily available from your local pharmacy and is an excellent pest control agent. This chemical is safe for people and pets, and will kill roaches and other pests quickly and effectively. The combination of boric acid and sugar is highly effective at catching roaches.

Another effective natural cockroach trap is made of paperboard. Alternatively, you can use duct tape. Simply place it where cockroaches are known to congregate. The sticky side of the tape should be facing up. Once the roaches have come in, the tape can be moved to another location.
