How Long Will Cockroaches Leave on Their Own?
Despite your best efforts to remove the roaches, the roach population will not just disappear on its own. Roaches have a plethora of survival techniques and can survive without food for months at a time. Even if the tenant has just left the house for a few months, the cockroach population will remain despite their absence.
In order to get rid of the infestation, you should first inspect the area where they’ve been living. There are a number of places they like to hide, including behind the refrigerator, in the kitchen, and in closets. You can also apply insect spray or bait to get rid of these creatures.
In addition to their ability to hide in places, cockroaches will leave chew marks on items they’ve eaten. While cockroaches rarely hitchhike, they will hide in cardboard boxes or appliances such as microwaves, computers, and video game systems. Cockroaches will also eat through books or leather.
In addition to hiding in dark corners, roaches will also invade your car. Roaches can move from your home to your car by hitchhiking on your clothes or belongings. They’ll also notice the interior of your car and crawl out of any hiding places that are close to your car’s interior.
Cockroaches love warm, damp areas and can breed quickly. They can pose a health risk to your family.
