Why Do Bed Bugs Bite in a Line?

If you have ever noticed that bedbugs seem to be biting in a line, you may want to know why. This common bug infestation is caused by multiple bedbugs that are looking for a blood source. If you have a screen on your window, bedbugs may still be getting in through these openings.

A bedbug infestation can be detected by specks of blood on or near the seams of your mattress, upholstered furniture, or bedding. These bugs shed their shells, which look like small black specks. They also leave excrement behind. This excrement is tiny, black specks, and may appear on the surface of your bedding.

A bedbug bite may look like one or two bites, but they’re actually three or four small bites that were taken by the bug. Bedbugs need about 10 minutes to feed on a human, so they’ll sometimes bite more than once. When they’re finished feeding, they’ll move on to a different host.

The rash that appears after a bug bite is caused by a number of different factors. First, it may be caused by an environmental irritant or household product. For example, if a person was just starting a new job, he or she might be exposed to new cleaning supplies.
