How to Get Rid of Ants in Your Car

Having ants in your car can be a scary situation. If left untreated, these little critters can cause major problems. Not only will they damage your car’s interior, but they can also cause a lot of damage to the car’s electrical wiring.

Fortunately, you can get rid of ants in your car with a little effort. You can start by removing any food sources from your car. Make sure you clean up any crumbs, trash, or food scraps.

If ants are still visible, spray them with a mixture of Dawn soap and water. Use a strong hose spray setting to kill the ants.

You can also use peppermint oil. Dilute it with water and use it directly on the ants. Alternatively, you can add 10-20 ml of the mixture to a spray bottle. You can use the solution on any surface where ants may be hiding. You can also spray it on the interior of your car.

Another way to kill ants in your car is to use a car heater. In less than an hour, a car heater can reach temperatures of 120 degrees Fahrenheit. This will kill foraging ants in the engine compartment.

You can also use a fogging product. Some types are odorless and allow you to easily access hard-to-reach areas. You can also bomb your car with a fogging product. If you are concerned about breathing in the chemicals, run the air conditioner for a few minutes before driving.
