How Important is Ant-Man and the Wasp?

Whether you’re a die-hard Marvel fan or not, there are probably a few things you didn’t know about Ant-Man and the Wasp. For one, there’s no one villain in this film. It’s a breezy, fun, and colourful caper film that’s sure to be enjoyable.

This second film continues the themes of the first, and focuses on the relationship between Scott and Hope. Scott and Hope have an argumentative relationship in the first film, but they eventually develop a romantic relationship. They also use Scott’s Ant-Man suit to help Hope battle a ghost.

The movie also introduces Hope as The Wasp, a new character. Unlike Scott, Hope has the ability to shrink and grow. She is also fitted with wings when she’s small. This ability allows her to get out of a tight spot, and avoid knives.

It’s also important to note that, even though Ant-Man has a unique power set, his powers are not as powerful as they were in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Despite Ant-Man’s abilities, he still has to remember that he’s a superhero who can only be as powerful as the people he loves. Hopefully, when he comes back into the MCU, his power set will be even more powerful.

One of the biggest questions left about Ant-Man and the Wasp is how important the film is to the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe. While it’s a fun film, it doesn’t carry much of a narrative weight for the larger MCU.
