Wasps V Newcastle on TV
Earlier this year, Wasps were beaten by Gloucester at Kingsholm, and now they will look to avenge their defeat with a win against Newcastle in Round 22. Their lead at the break was 21-0. The game was an open one and was very fast-paced. Newcastle did get one chance to score, but it was blocked by Cam Dodson. The Newcastle snipe from a maul was stopped by Dodson.
Wasps have also made changes to their front row. Freddie Burns is replacing Handre Pollard. Anthony Watson is expected to make his Welford Road debut. He is likely to partner Ollie Robinson, who was a last-minute replacement for Cameron Redpath in the centre. The pair played together in the England U20s.
Wasps are looking to avenge a costly slip-up at Kingsholm in April. The Cherry and Whites were two points adrift of Saints in fourth place. They also missed out on a place in the semi-finals for the first time since 2011. They look a class side and will be desperate to bounce back against a Newcastle team that has not won at Kingsholm since March 2018.
The Falcons have not won against Gloucester at Kingsholm in three years and are looking to bounce back. Head coach Dean Richards has announced he will step down from his role as director of rugby at the end of the season. They have 13 players on their side and will be looking to make amends after losing three straight Premiership games.
