How Do Wasps Hold Power?
Despite being one of the world’s smallest insects, wasps hold a lot of power. The average wasp can sting several times and can be extremely aggressive if they perceive you to be a threat. If you are attacked, don’t frighten them away, instead cover your face and move slowly.
Wasps are part of the order Hymenoptera, which is a group of insects that includes bees. Despite being small, wasps need to use a lot of energy to survive, and they are very sensitive to their surroundings. If you are worried about being stung by a wasp, you can avoid them by keeping your yard free of clutter and debris.
One of the ways wasps hold power is through their nests. They build nests in a variety of places, including the eaves of your house, wooden fences, roofs, flagpoles and even in flags. Wasps have specially designed jaws to help them build their nests.
In spring, wasps will be looking for places to build a nest. They will choose the best location by locating a food source and then building a nest around it. They will enclose their nest with a queen and her eggs. They will continue to add to the nest as it grows.
They will then release a chemical into the air to make it easier for other workers to defend the nest. When a wasp detects a threat, it will call out other workers to defend the nest.
