Can Wasps Eat Through Duct Tape?

Putting up a duct tape barrier to prevent wasps from entering your home is not the best solution. They are aggressive insects and if they feel threatened, they will sting. So, it’s best to call a professional to remove them. But if you don’t have a professional handy, you can use duct tape to make a temporary barrier.

You can also make a trap by filling a soda bottle with water and sugar. Punch two holes in the top of the bottle. Then staple the two halves together. This creates a funnel. Once you fill the bottle with sugar and water, you can take it apart and put the bait inside. Eventually, you’ll have a trap full of dead wasps.

If you don’t want to relocate the wasps, you can drop them into a garbage can full of soapy water. You can also place the garbage can in full sun.

If you are using a trap, place it in an area that you don’t have access to. Also, be careful when placing the traps. You don’t want to trap pets or kids.

If you are trying to catch wasps without killing them, you should use natural wasp repellents. Bay leaves contain powerful essential oils, so you can hang them strategically to keep them away. Alternatively, you can use peppermint oil. Peppermint oil is a natural repellent that is good at killing fleas, cockroaches, bedbugs and other insects. However, it can burn skin and damage eyes.
