When Does Spider Man Come to Disney Plus?
If you’re wondering when does Spider Man come to Disney Plus, you’re not alone. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is taking over the small screen and you can’t help but wonder if the comic book character will be added to the roster. Fortunately, it seems like there’s a good chance that Spidey will eventually make his way to Disney+. However, not all of his movies will be available at the same time.
In fact, some of the most iconic blockbusters of all time are still missing from the Disney Plus library. For example, Venom, which is a Sony-distributed movie, isn’t currently streaming in the UK. While it is coming to Starz in the US, it won’t arrive on Disney+ until a few years after its release.
There’s no official announcement of when Spidey will hit Disney+, but it’s expected that the trilogy starring Tom Holland will be the first to make the leap. It’s also expected that more Sony titles will be added in the near future.
While the Sony deal isn’t officially taking effect until movies start hitting the big screen in 2022, it’s already in place. Netflix holds the first look deal for all upcoming Spider-Man films, and you can expect them to start streaming well after the theatrical release.
As for Sony’s library, it includes a handful of Spider-Man films. Among them, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Venom, Into the Spider-Verse, and Let There Be Carnage. But these titles won’t be streaming on Disney Plus until after their run on Netflix.
