What Block Can Spiders Not Climb On?
Spiders are an iconic monster in the Minecraft universe. They are arachnids with 8 legs and a plethora of health points. Although they are neutral mobs, they will attack if they first come in contact with a player during daylight hours. Thankfully, there are some strategies to mitigate the effects of this unwelcome guest.
A lava wall is a great way to keep spiders at bay. These walls are slippery and contain elements that prevent spiders from climbing.
A similar but less successful strategy involves building an overhang on a nearby wall. This will keep spiders from making their slithering entrance into your base.
Another great way to keep Spiders at bay is by building a fence with a solid block on top. Spiders hate eucalyptus, but they won’t get the chance to wreak havoc in your base if your fence is built with the flammable Glowstone.
The biggest trick is in the fact that the spider can’t climb all walls. That’s not to say that they can’t get up on your wall. It’s just that it won’t be an easy task.
As far as what block is the best, there is no one size fits all solution. However, if you want to make sure that a Spider never enters your base, you should try to build a ring of ladders about two blocks above the ground.
You can also try building a cactus wall to keep the arachnids out of your base. Cactus walls don’t have to be crafted, but they do have to be placed in the right spot.
