How Important is Spider-Man Homecoming?
Spider-Man Homecoming is the latest superhero film from Marvel Studios. It’s a tween friendly movie that’s part of a larger MCU. It’s a reboot of a character that’s had a rocky few years on the big screen. The message is about responsibility, courage and power.
The film is set in New York City. It has plenty of violence. Although there are some violent scenes, they’re not on a large scale. That’s different from other superhero movies.
The main villain is the Vulture, played by Michael Keaton. This is a version of a villain from the comic books. His main goal is to make money selling contraband arms.
The Vulture is one of the better villains in the MCU. It’s also one of the few villains who has an intriguing backstory. It’s easy to connect with the character, especially since he’s based on Steve Ditko’s original comic.
Another strong character is Flash Thompson, played by Tony Revelori. In the comics, he was white. However, the movie isn’t about his race. He’s an important character, and it’s nice to see a black actor in a Marvel movie.
Ultimately, I’d say that Spider-Man Homecoming is a very good MCU entry. It’s a fun film, and it has some clever gags. It’s also a very funny coming-of-age movie. You’ll enjoy it if you’re a fan of comics. It’s not the most original movie out there, but it’s a good watch.
It’s the third Spider-Man film in fifteen years. It was a major success, earning $150 million.
