Homemade cookies are nutritious and provide important vitamins and nutrients. Carob has similar effects, but is less rich in theobromine. This compound has a stimulant effect on the heart and nervous system. It may be effective for rats with respiratory distress, although they still wouldn’t benefit from chocolate alone.
