Using a Rat on the Throat
Using a rat on the throat may be dangerous if you’re allergic to it. Luckily, there are a few ways to test your throat for rat allergy. One way is to swab your nasal and throat for rat allergens. However, there have been many reports of false negatives.
The UK National Health Service recommends following RAT instructions and using a separate kit for the nose and throat. This is because the Omicron (which can only be found in the throat) does not appear in the throat earlier. You can also buy a kit that does both. Nevertheless, if you have any doubts, you can use a different RAT kit to check for rat contamination.
Another way to test for strep throat is to swab your throat. Before testing, make sure you wash your hands well. Then, stick out your tongue to see if you have a bridge where the tonsils jut out. If your throat is dry, you probably don’t have strep throat, and you should wash your hands before you test it.
